Brianna Fenty
Brianna Fenty is a marine ecologist born and based, for the moment, in New York. A chronic wanderer with a heart split between Iceland and the Scottish Highlands, Brianna enjoys long walks through the cemetery, short walks to fridges full of leftovers, and overnight train rides away from the frustrations of modern life. When she isn’t busy yelling at Congressmen to save sharks and whales, she spends her spare time writing. She prides herself on embracing literary themes most might find squirm-worthy, and as a self-proclaimed connoisseur of all horrors cosmic and comedic, Brianna hopes to break down the barriers dividing the common man from the cathartic delight of fright—and make plenty of people uncomfortable along the way. Her cat, her parents, her partner, and an egregious number of em dashes are her biggest supporters. Not necessarily in that order.
Brianna received her Bachelor of Science in International Trade and Transportation from SUNY Maritime College in 2016, and her Master of Science in Applied Marine and Fisheries Ecology from the University of Aberdeen in 2019. Her dark short stories have been featured in such publications as Aphotic Realm, Bull and Cross, Uncharted Magazine, and more. She placed 3rd and 5th in the 90th and 91st Writer’s Digest Annual Writing Competitions, respectively, and was longlisted for The Masters Review 2021 Novel Excerpt Contest.
Henhouse Syndrome will be her first novel. She finds it very funny that she is a horror writer debuting with a psychological thriller.
