Kev Edwards

Kev lives in Nottinghamshire with his wife, Rosie and Border Collie, Ally. He has two grown-up daughters and a grandson.

He was born by the sea in Cornwall and is a former Merchant Navy navigator who delivered freight to ports around the world: from cars to dogs, machines to melons and cement to Scotch. On coming ashore he pursued two other main careers, one culminating as CEO of an investment company and the other as a management consultant.

Kev used his first career as a navigator, on which to base his first six books. All told stories of serious maritime crimes, such as modern day piracy, people trafficking and smuggling.  All six were based around a fictional police force, the International Marine Police and their role in fighting marine criminals.

For his seventh novel, Kev turned back the clock and based Scotty’s War on a real life love story alongside events that actually took place in North Africa during World War 2.

When not writing, researching or reading, Kev spends his time walking with Ally in the countryside around his home and spending time with his family.
