Zara Thorne
Zara Thorne is the alter ego of Deirdre Palmer. Deirdre lives in the seaside city of Brighton, south-east England, with her husband and a sixteen-year-old cat. Most of her working life has been spent in public sector administration, including a 25-year stint at Brighton University. Naturally, some of the antics of the students have found their way into her books!
Deirdre writes psychological thrillers and women’s fiction books. She’s also had a number of short stories published in The People’s Friend magazine. Her Charnley Acre series, to be published by Bloodhound, is lighter women’s fiction with themes of family, friendship and love, touching on some deeper issues along the way, and always with a good dose of humour.
