Clea Simon
Before turning to a life of crime (fiction), Boston Globe-bestselling author Clea Simon was a journalist and penned three nonfiction books. Now she mixes cats and crime and rock and roll in mysteries ranging from cozy (such as her most recent Witch Cats of Cambridge outing To Conjure a Killer) and amateur sleuth (the new Bad Boy Beat) to the dark psychological suspense of Hold Me Down and World Enough (both named as Mass. Book Award “must reads”).
A graduate of Harvard University, she has contributed to publications ranging from Salon.com and Harvard Magazine to Rolling Stone, Yankee, and The New York Times. Born and raised in New York, she now lives in Somerville, Massachusetts, with her husband, the writer Jon S. Garelick.
